Windows xp without mouse
I have tried the repair installation but that option R does not show up and there are now Windows. Resetting the pass words did not help. I could copy driver files "manually" from the new XP Windows.?

Win 7 and XP are on each on their on their own disks. I prefer each OS to have their own disk. Yes, Both work, this is the same machine running on Win 7. If you mean are there any mechanical failures, then no, everything is working so far I can see, I just messed with drivers. This problem started when I was trying to change hard disks to AHCI mode, it did not succeed as well as last time. So OS started asking HD drivers, that was not a big problem. But then I installed motherboard USB drivers too.
In reply to LM's post on March 4, If you have any version of Windows XP recovery disk, you can start the PC using the recovery disk and then instead of installing the operating system select repair. If you have a floppy drive or USB thumb drive you can copy the following files from any XP machine: kbdclass.

Too bad, since Mouse without borders is a good product in itself. I have another problem: on my Windows 7 laptop, I have a version of Microsoft Mouse which does not work anymore when I launch it I'm told "Mouse without Borders is not installed yet, please run Setup. When I try to install the version you just mentioned , the software says another version is already installed and that it can't install before I uninstall this previous version.
When I try to uninstall the previous version, the uninstallation process goes smoothly, but in the end the software is still in place in the Program files and I can't install the new version.. The safest way would be to use a restore point to go back and uninstalled. If you have it, than use it. If not than you will have to use regedit. Please carefully edit the registry, because any mistake there may make your system crash or not boot able.
If it is find UninstallString and copy the data from it. Open the cmd prompt and paste it to run it. Follow the wizard to remove it. I think I will have my computer completely cleaned of Windows and any other software, and then completely re-set up.
