This specimen is a wonderful example of Victorian design with its S shaped handle. Hudson Co. Leominster, MA. This was one of the first peelers that had a blade that always faced the fruit for better peeling. This beater spins freely and is ready to go to work in your vintage kitchen or primitive camp. These are getting to be increasingly difficult to find.
This opener has a beefy business end that is marked "Bull Dog Tempered" and is ready to go to work. Muddlers of this style have a business end of tinned cast iron and date to around These work nicely because you can both apply mashing pressure and spin at the same time - plus it can stand proudly on your counter when not in use. The diameter of the masher is 3" with a length of 8". This would be a great utensil for any chuckbox or vintage kitchen setting.
This is one of the nice ones with the stylized blade and flared out shoulders. A fun collectible ready to go to work in your kitchen. This nice spoon has a nice cut out pattern in the bowl and still retains a nice bright finish. The comfortable wooden handle even has a countersunk hole to hang the spoon. The round pan has a diameter of 7" and a depth of 1". The rectangular pan is tinsmith made and has very attractive envelope folded corners and nicely folded over edges. These will make a great addition to any collection of primitive baking pans. This attractive specimen even has holes in the blade to allow straining while the product is being lifted. This little gem retains nearly all of its original bright tin finish and is free of any dents or dings. The design of the wire frame and handle allow this grater to display very well.
A worthy addition to any collection. This specimen has a nice long curved handle that can reach inside a Dutch oven and has a nice patina and hammered rivets. The handle has a nice curve to the end making it easy to keep at hand near your Dutch ovens. This specimen has character galore with a nice patina and copper rivets. This spoon has a beautiful grain pattern and has the nice smooth feel of well used wood.
The spoon is free of any chips or cracks and has a slender knob on the end of the handle for a hanging twine. These are very difficult to find this pristine. The interior of this dough raising pan near mint and the exterior retains nearly all of its bright tin finish. There are no dings or dents and only a small amount of cleanable, spotty rust along the rim on the foot of the pan. This pan would hold its own in any vintage kitchen utensil collection.
This wonderful pan will look great hanging on the back of a chuckbox and will work great to use as a wrecking pan in any period camp situation. Of course, it can hold a place of honor in any collection of kitchenalia too. The pan is nice and clean with no dings or dents and still retains nearly all of its bright tin finish. This is the first pan I have seen with these dimensions and it would make a wonderful centerpiece for a dining room table or and a gathering pan on a kitchen counter.
With its aggressively slanted sides and folded over corners this pan is quite striking in its appearance and would hold its own in any collection of antique tinware. It would also yield a very large loaf of bread or form an interesting shaped cake. This specimen still retains nearly all of its bright tin finish and sports three grating surfaces comprised of a fine, medium and coarse grate.
The grater is embossed with the patent date August 6, This would make a wonderful addition to any grater collection. This is the perfect wind up alarm clock to use in a chuckbox or in your sleeping quarters because of its soothing old timey tick, tick, tick.
It also has the added benefit of an alarm that is loud enough to stampede a herd of cattle. The clock stands 5" high and has a face diameter of 4". The nicely turned, black painted handle is has minimal chipping and is free of any cracks. The business end is made of heavy steel and has a bright nickel finish. Even the tines on the fork are of heavy construction. The front of the mill is embossed with the words "The C. Parker Co. Meriden CT" and has a very attractive vine and Greek key design.
The lid on this side mill is a replacement and fits beautifully. SOLD This is a very attractive antique tin colander with an un-common design. The diameter of the base is 4" and the top diameter is 11". This colander has a very interesting hole pattern including a star pattern in it's bottom.
SOLD A good clean example of a spatter lid. Domed with finely pierced holes and a wood finial knob. Very nice patina with some light, cleanable rust to the inside perimeter rim. Difficult to find in a condition this good. SOLD A beautiful heavy steel whisk in a restaurant size. This isn't one of the wimpy, floppy ones that you find so often these days. The wire loops are made of a heavy gauge steel. This specimen has a pleasing pewter like patina and displays very well.
A great addition to any kitchen arsenal. These were designed to be used with a deep frying pan for the cooking of Crullers. The pan and basket patent date was July 8, These baskets display beautifully and make a great catch all. These old Bromwell sifters are often missing one or both of the caps that fit on the top and bottom of the sifter — this specimen still retains both of its original covers. The sifter still retains nearly all of its bright tin finish and the green paint on the turned wooden handle is free of any cracks or chips.
The interior screen is still intact and clean. The sifter stands 7" high with a diameter of 5". This specimen is free of any cracks or chips and has that wonderful aged cast iron patina.
The bottom of this pan shows clear gate marks and sits level. All twelve of the cups are smooth and free of defects. This pan is ready to go back to work or to proudly be displayed in your kitchen. These were generally used to shape a mixture of minced meat and other ingredients but not used to bake the cutlet in. This mold is in very good condition with a nice pewter like, darkened tin patina. The interior retains much of its original bright tin finish.
These are scarce and truly collectible. There is a small amount of light, cleanable rust on the bottom front of the piece. A perfect specimen to hang on the wall of your vintage kitchen. Spouted Cake Mold M45 Here is a beautiful example of a large, heavy, brass spouted cake mold. This specimen includes a lid to completely enclose the contents while baking. This specimen is in very good condition with only a few small dents to the bottom of the pan.
A pan like this displays very well in a kitchen setting and makes a great conversation piece. This is a large sized funnel made of heavy tin and has a nicely rolled over edge.
A nice addition to any tin collection and a specimen that presents well. Cake Pan - L. Brown - Centennial Circa M32 A beautiful example of an early spouted cake mold. This allows the pan to serve a dual purpose as either a spouted or un-spouted cake mold.
Note the hasp assembly used to close the pan - this pre dates spring hasps on the more modern pans. The tag functions as a little flap to seal the bottom of the pan when the spout is removed. This specimen has a beautiful darkened tin patina and just the lightest spots of cleanable rust. The "Centennial Cake Pan" would hold its own in any vintage cookware collection or museum and displays very well. The pan is in very good condition and retains a high percentage of its original bright tin finish.
This pan is in good condition and has moderately tapered sides. The pan has a nice rolled over edge as well as folded over corner seams.
Nice dark tin patina with a large percentage of its bright tin finish still intact. This grater has character galore with its attractive patina and unusual design. This grater would make the perfect addition to any collection of antique kitchenalia and would make a great accent piece in any room. SOLD Here is a beautiful example of a handmade, primitive slicer and it has character galore. Everything about this specimen exemplifies care and craftsmanship, including the interesting grain pattern in the oak board used for its construction.
Note how each of the cutting teeth on the back of the slicer are individually inset into the wood. Note the workmanship on the wooden wedge that holds the slicing blade in place. The cut outs for the handle and round hanging hole still show the swirls created by an old auger type bit and there is still evidence of the crossed kerf marks left by a hand saw.
Other details include gently beveled sides and the initials LzB on the face of the slicer. This is a museum quality specimen that will hold its own in any antique kitchen utensil collection and it would make an excellent accent piece in any room. This specimen is a large, heavy duty model.
This wonderful specimen has a gorgeous wooden grip on the elegantly turned handle. This revolving grater was patented by Thomas W. Houchin, of Morrisania, N. Patent No. According to the patent information, this "Vegetable-Grater" is complete and is described as a "cutting-surface" and as a "grating-surface" and represented for the purposes stated.
As a grating-surface, used as described. This strainer presents very well with a darkened tin patina and is still solid in every way. The handle still has the hanging loop intact. There is one dent to the base as pictured and the kettle does have 2 pin hole sized holes near the base seem which could easily be repaired. Kinneys Steam Cooker. The patent number for this specimen is , with the patent belonging to S.
Kinney of St. Louis, Missouri. It is constructed like a tall cylinder with bracket and hook assemblies to hold two shelves. Water would be boiled in the bottom of the steamer and circulated throughout to cook the food. Due to the nature of the cooking process it is difficult to find these in a condition this good. The only rusted area is at the top of the cooker near the hinge - the rest of the cooker is very clean.
This would make a great addition to any vintage kitchen collection and is quite a conversation piece. This type of mixer works by holding the shaft in between the palms then rubbing in a back and forth motion. These were very popular with Scandinavian immigrants and many times were made from the top of Christmas trees. This great little find would make a great addition to your vintage utensil collection and is a true conversation piece as well as a fun to use utensil.
